Job Description

As part of the Vacutrux Team this individual will:

· Properly prepare surfaces before painting; prep, sand, clean and mask large steel vessel tanks, trailers, truck frames, parts and fabrications as part of our finishing team

· Prepare and apply final coatings to tank systems

· Prepare vehicles and components for painting by cleaning, sanding and masking surfaces

· Application of primers, sealers, basecoats, colour coats and clear coats

· Mix paints and ensure proper consistency and colour

· Operate forklift and other material handling equipment

· Maintain neat storage of paints, thinners and other supplies

· Practice safe handling procedures of hazardous supplies

· Set up, operate and maintain grit-blasting machine

Skills the ideal candidate has include:

· Knowledge of maintenance and repair of painting equipment

· Minimum 1-3-years’ experience working as an industrial painter

· Experience in a manufacturing environment

· Previous experience in automotive painting
